Stone Contact avoidable

The last week with rain and warm temperatures has taken its toll on the snow conditions, but a bit of ski touring is still possible. With bike at about 1500 meters then carry some skis then start on skis at about 1600 meters

Snow quality

Wet snow
Slush
Firn
Summer snow
Jelly snow

Summer snow suits the season - Gamswanne Allgäu spring classic. Top tip - below 1900 meters lazy snow depending on the time of day

Risks

No warning signs
North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Towards midday wet snow slide and steep terrain but not critical. More and more small to medium-sized stones melt out of the snow. This can really slow you down and damage your skis.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Once again, some peaks are still white and if there is enough snow for a nice tour. Mid-June and 6 months on a ski tour in the Allgäu Alps. A great winter is coming to an end. Many beautiful tours with really good runs. For the winter season 2020 / 21 season there's a clear 5 stars

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
