The snow conditions in Sölden are quite ok at the moment. But unfortunately, like almost everywhere, it's still a bit below average and contact with stones can't be completely avoided. In the last two days, there has been about 30-40cm of fresh snow above 2000m. Much less below that, in the valley it was only a few centimetres.

Unfortunately, it was very warm again today. At 2000m it was just about zero degrees in the shade. So the powder was quite heavy. In the glacier area, however, there were still one or two fluffy slopes to be found.

Risks

According to the LLB warning level 3, the report is pretty accurate. The drifting snow slopes were difficult to recognize. Towards the afternoon, a few small snow slides could also be observed. Somewhere in the area of the upper part of the Gaißlachkogel gondola there was probably also an avalanche today. But I didn't get any more details on whether people were involved.

Another decent day where there were a few really nice descents.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
