Exposition
Snow condition
Early winter powsurfing with hungry sharks on, and deep pools between the hills.
Snow quality
Generally good snow in the upper part of the ski area, but sticky and partly wet in the lower part.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Altitude: 1700 m – 2500 m
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
The wet snowpack in the lower foliage on Saturday is already considerable, except for a difficult traverse. In the upper, steeper, wind-swept gullies, the triple is justified due to the high disruptibility of the drift snow packs. They are usually small but quickly go down to the bottom at the first contact with skiers.
Overall impression
That was a good comeback. There was a massive loss of material and pride, but it was a good lesson and we got away with a blue bottom.
