Snow condition
The snow conditions are still good. If the currently still soft layer settles, there really is a good base. You can still feel the hard base, especially in areas with old tracks, and the tree trunks are not yet completely covered. In the slightly wider forest, however, it is still possible to make a few nice turns in the snow
Snow quality
Not quite as fluffy today as yesterday, but still nice powder. Above the tree line, you can now clearly feel the increased influence of the wind. The drift snow packs alternate with nice powder, so that the skiing pleasure is only slightly impaired.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: medium
Altitude: 1800 m – 2100 m
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
There was clearly more wind influence today than yesterday. Above the tree line, there are sometimes large snow packs on soft layers. Even in flatter terrain, you can sometimes see cracks when walking on the snow cover. So stay in the forest for the next few days (the snow is also better here).
Overall impression
Not quite as much powder as yesterday, but still first lines and good runs. 2 laps in the forest are already worthwhile after work, so it's worth making the journey from Innsbruck. Above the tree line, the wind unfortunately reduced the snow quality somewhat.
