Snow condition

In the forest, where the snow is good, it is unfortunately only possible in lighter areas. Not enough in the dense forest. Strongly blown-off ridges above.

Snow quality

Good powder snow on a soft base in the forest area. Above, the snow is very wind-affected.

Due to the tense avalanche situation, there is currently no need to attempt anything above the tree line. Those who dare to venture above this level will be rewarded with drift snow that is very susceptible to disturbance. We didn't venture far above the tree line, so a defensive choice of tour is advisable at the moment.

Overall impression

Nice treerun day and certainly made the best of the current tense avalanche situation. It's a shame that where the snow is good and the avalanche situation is better, the snow conditions are often inadequate.
