Snow condition

Good to very good snow conditions. At the start at 750 meters around 70cm. A little difficult to assess further up due to the wind from different exposures. In the lighter forest below 1400 meters it was quite nice today, hardly any contact with the enemy.

Snow quality

A lot has fallen here in the past few days (~30+cm). The fresh snow from yesterday to today has fallen in warmer temperatures and lots of wind. Not quite fluffy, but quite good to ride.

Everything looks quite safe in the forest. A lot of snow has been dumped further up. According to the LLB, moderately above the tree line.

Overall impression

Deep winter atmosphere in the Flachgau snow hole. Unfortunately, the wind was a spoilsport on my tour today. Nevertheless, I managed a few good turns in the forest and otherwise just enjoyed the great wintry atmosphere. I'm also pleased to realize that many tours in the region work really well with public transport.
