Exposition

North West North-West

Snow condition

Descent to valley (to 1100 m)

Still quite good for the time of year, but already significantly worse. On many meadow slopes, the route options are limited by many and large sliding snow cracks. Some of the south-facing slopes are already snow-covered again.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust

Here, too, the snow quality has of course suffered massively. Partly hard, load-bearing cover, partly broken snow and partly swamp. It's great on freshly groomed sections - we didn't even try off-piste.

Risks

Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)

Many and large sliding snow cracks in the region (south side Krinnenspitze, south sides towards Vilsalpsee and Hahnenkamm the east side basin). We were only out and about on prepared snow, so no observations there.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne
Equal

By the weekend, there may (!) be the first opportunities to cruise on firn. Otherwise, pistes and paragliders are currently the most sensible downhill options.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
