Avalanche warning level

moderate (2)

Exposition

East South-East South

Snow condition

2 von 5 Sterne
100 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 1000 m)
Blown backs

Below 1200 it is completely forgettable. Not even the slopes of the alpine meadows are covered in snow. Above that it's fine, especially on flatter slopes.

Snow quality

Powder snow

Really fine powder. In the upper area about 30cm of it. However, it is advisable to stay on the flat slopes, because you can still get through to the hard crust.

Risks

North

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

I can confirm that it is relatively safe below 2000. However, there are a few accumulations of drift snow with nice much-to-little snow transitions, especially on the ridges. The wind got stronger towards midday.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Much better than expected today, because the peaks were still not covered in fog in the early afternoon - contrary to the forecast. You can only really let it go on the flat slopes and above 1400m.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
