Descent to valley (to 1000 m)

In the two "standard gullies" the snow conditions are good, you can get down easily without coming into contact with rocks. The somewhat steeper gullies still need snow, and some of them are still very rocky. But you can tell from a distance which gullies work and which don't. Apart from that, the last snowfalls have visually improved a lot, as it fell with little wind. However, the ultra-fluffy snow doesn't really improve the snow conditions either, so you probably still can't do any more in the forest than before.

Powder snow

Still super fine powder snow, completely unbound and relatively deep in the gully, no crust noticeable.

Risks

West North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

In the gully, the snow was still completely unbound, hardly any wind influence noticeable. However, it is also very sheltered from the wind and we didn't go all the way up to the exit near the ridge. In steep terrain close to the ridge, you should continue to watch out for drift snow.

Worse

At the end of the very good last 4 days, we took another gully in the Kalkkögeln. The first day on which old tracks had to be crossed, but there was still enough space for untracked spots. But now the skiable gullies are pretty much finished, it's time for fresh snow again!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
