Exposition
Snow condition
The first high chain has almost nothing on the steep north sides due to the wind, as well as on south-facing ridges, where there is already a large area of meadow/rock. Often just enough for the ascent. But the gullies are nicely filled. New snow is needed, preferably 50cm+
Snow quality
Good in the shade, quite wet in the sun, in the wind-exposed lid. The descents were all in powder. There's no firn yet
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
South-facing already a lot below, otherwise safe.
Overall impression
Scenically beautiful tour, still lots of untracked powder in the gullies after a week of good weather. There are still a few stretches, but they will get much longer over the weekend!
