Snow condition
Well, the Bavarian foothills of the Alps after a long period without precipitation. You can get all the way down to the valley, but only on the forest road. You need a lot more snow for the forest!
Snow quality
The top 200 m were quite nice to ski, but there was not much snow underneath and it wasn't exactly of an exhilarating quality. Hopefully there will be a bit more snow tomorrow so that we can make some real powder turns again. There was a lot of wind in the upper area and you can find a lot of blown snow here.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
Spontaneous avalanche activity was not recognizable, but in the upper wind influence was noticeable in the upper area. With fresh snow to come, this should be kept in mind
Overall impression
Quite a nice tour after a day in the ice yesterday. You can even ski in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, although of course I'll stay true to myself and return to the Brenner region soon...
