Snow condition
Good snow thickness due to the snowfall of the past few days. Approx. 1m at 1200m. Also in the mountain pine area now well covered in snow (but here, as always, the problem of partially blown-off ridges etc.). The high forest is also very good to ski, as are forest slopes (but be careful not to ski on dead wood that is not too deep in snow, etc.).
Snow quality
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: medium
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Drift snow is the main problem. However, the signs of danger frequently encountered in recent days, such as cracks forming away from the ski track, were no longer present today.
Overall impression
The weather today was a dream day. However, the high fog with high humidity overnight obviously caused a strange "icing" of the snow cover on the surface. This was beautiful to look at, especially on the trees covered in ice, but not quite so nice to ride on. This icing was mainly to be found on the open areas, whereas in the high forest the snow was relatively fluffy.
