Variations of snow cover

There's not much snow overall. A lot has blown away at the top.

Snow quality

Hard, pressed snow
Wet snow
Powder snow

Very different at the top. Partly quite nice powder on a hard base, otherwise quite wind-pressed. Below 1400m it's pretty much cardboard snow, which slows you down completely. This morning it also rained lightly in the valley. Further up there was minimal fresh snow.

Risks

South-East South South-West

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

It was blowing hard again today, with some really strong gusts. That's why there's a lot of snow at the top, some drift snow packs.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Better

With the wind today, it wasn't a really enjoyable tour, but there were a few nice turns in between. With the forecast of fresh snow this week, it should be much better.
