Overall impression
Altitude
1000 - 1700m
Avalanche warning level
considerable (3)
Exposition
Snow condition
The handbrake should still be applied in dense woodland, otherwise it's pretty good but not luxuriant.
Snow quality
Much better than expected! Above 1500m, a good 10cm of great powder on a homogeneous base. In the forest below that, the snowpack underneath was often broken, which was rather tough.
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
There were snow plumes on the peaks again today. However, I saw fewer fresh avalanches today and yesterday than I would have expected.
Overall impression
Planned as a pure training tour; rewarded with great scenery and some really good turns :-)
