Snow condition

Quite ok and better than further south (Andermatt). Very heterogeneously distributed here too. Ridges and crests swept bare. Sheltered areas well filled. A good base in the valley, Jochstock towards Engstlen rather blown out.

Snow quality

After the storm, the few carpets are almost completely chopped up. Where it is still whole, it feels good. Speedpowder. Some ice comes out, has a lid or is just bombed.

Pacts of drifting snow seem to have consolidated well here. Nevertheless, I would assess the whole thing carefully at these altitudes. The crack in the foliage from the blasting and the avalanche cone from the fatal accident the day before yesterday are worrying.

Overall impression

Leisurely day in the area with a few detours through the vegetables. Fresh snow is needed.
