Below approx. 1450 m, there are more and more open areas in the south and south-east exposures. You can still get down without any major problems. This will get worse from day to day.

Firn

First run around 10:10 am (SO), the timing and the wait was worth it, nice buttery firn. Second run at around 11:20 a.m., it was still good. Much later it would have become too soft/deep.

Risks

Crevasse or fall danger
Diurnal warming
South South-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Spring conditions: End activities early.

Overall impression

Equal

With fur support, we got very nice firn on a homogeneous base today. The firn area will become smaller and more manageable in the near future due to warming and sunlight. It will stay good for a few more days.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
