Descent to valley (to 1900 m)

I've never been to the region but I thought it was very bad. Snow on the road to the Stüdelehütte was already very thin at the bottom on 13.3. I think it's already necessary to carry snow in places. It doesn't get much better towards the top either. The direct entrance into the slope to Ködnitzkees is just about possible. As there was no snow, we didn't bother. The advantage of the poor snow conditions: optimal conditions for the sections on foot :-)

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Wet snow

It was really bad, very hard or very wet - not a pleasure. I suppose it's better now and there should be firn.

Risks

South-West

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

No problems with avalanches. Danger of falling in the hard snow, of course.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Not worthwhile in terms of skiing. But an incredible mountain experience with relatively few crowds. In terms of snow, I think it should have gotten better in the meantime thanks to the sun, warmth and night-time radiation. Couldn't upload any CRs due to technical obstacles. Since the conditions remained the same, I uploaded the CR now.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
