Well, more than in some other areas, but still very little! Off-piste skiing is possible on the south side up to max. 2300m. A little further on the north side. However, off-piste skiing is definitely only recommended with stone skis!

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

Approx. 20 cm of cold, easy to ride powder. Depending on the exposure, a little wind-treated. In blown-in areas it was sometimes 30cm. Above 2000m, most of the powder lies on a load-bearing layer of harsh snow. Below 2000m there is no base.

Risks

The fresh snow has come to rest relatively stress-free, but this could change quickly due to the freshening wind. From our point of view, however, today is safe in all expos and you should definitely watch out for sharks and also for bare ice that has formed on the north side of rocky slopes and is now covered by fresh snow. At one time or another, we had our feet pulled away...

Although there is still a lot of snow missing, today was the first halfway decent day in the terrain. hopefully there will be more soon! The gully itself is good and rideable without rock contact. You can also ride about 400m (distance) on the Ziehweg. From then on it's about 25 minutes to the toll station. But it was worth it. As we have just discovered on Facebook, we were also filmed:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc2bzQ0Sopg
