5 cm fresh snow

Due to the small amount of fresh snow, the snow conditions have improved visually, as a few more rocks are now covered, but unfortunately this has not increased the options for feasible tours/variants. Crevassed glaciers are still crevassed and away from them it is still very rocky.

Powder snow

Due to the recent snowfall and very cold temperatures, there has been at least some fresh snow (approx. 25 cm) since last weekend. Most of this fresh snow is of very good quality. Only on one slope in the top third, which is more exposed to the wind, was there wind-blown and partly compressed snow. Otherwise beautiful powder snow.

Risks

Crevasse or fall danger
West North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

In addition to crevasses and rocks, avalanches will certainly also have to be watched out for after the coming snowfall. The snow surface currently consists of very loose powder snow, which may not provide the best basis for a large amount of new or drift snow.

Equal

Due to a lack of tour options and a lack of willingness to take risks at the start of the season, we went on the same tour as last weekend. Once again, we were not disappointed and were able to enjoy some beautiful turns in good powder snow without exposing ourselves to too much danger from crevasses and rocks. Hopefully the coming week will bring plenty of fresh snow to create a base for the winter.
