Snow condition
On average, there was around 15-20 cm of fresh snow. In wind-protected corners towards the summit, it was sometimes up to 30 cm (very sporadic). The snow cover is very thin up to an altitude of approx. 1300 m. All terrain traps such as streams, stones, botany etc. lurk in this area (1 star). Above that, the snow cover is better and you can think about serious skiing (2 stars). Makes an average of 1.5 stars for the snow conditions. It still needs a lot more snow.
Snow quality
Nice cold fresh snow that once came in the Spitzingecke without much wind.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
The main danger in this meadow altitude range comes from terrain traps.
Overall impression
Surprisingly good day of touring with much better conditions than expected. The very early start today paid off in full. Now let's hope that this snowfall will be the first step towards the base and that supplies will arrive soon so that the choice of tours becomes more flexible.
