Viel Betrieb um wenig Schnee in BGD
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
All in all, it's not enough, and downhill runs are not possible anywhere except for snow cannons. Between 1300-1500m there is more snow, but due to the lack of a base it is not really enough anywhere. Much of it is also very blown out, the pines are not closed anywhere.
Snow quality
The quality alone would be 4 stars, but not enough of them. nice, light powder, but it's already well warmed up on the steep and sunny side. it's also really busy and it's not easy to find untouched snow. Especially not in these areas.
Risks
I was only up to just under 1900m, but up to that point there are hardly any critical areas. The LLB issued a 1 today up to the tree line. Above that, the increased risk of falling due to drifting snow is probably more of a problem. All in all, the terrain is still very rough in all areas, otherwise: pay attention to stones, mountain pines and vegetation in general!
Overall impression
There was just too much going on.
And it's just not enough for proper skiing and playing around yet. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be much snow for the next few days.
At least there's now a bit of a base from the middle altitudes onwards, so something should actually follow as soon as possible.
I think it's amazing what's being skied in these conditions and how the epic adventures are then advertised in the "local" social media.
