Snow condition
As the ascent was on a north-facing forest path, the start and descent from/to the valley were possible. There had been around 10 cm of fresh snow since yesterday. It rained so much during the week that I had a hard, frozen base for the entire tour today (at least where there was snow for skiing). The snow conditions are extremely poor, skiing today was only possible in meadow hollows and meadow gullies. The possibilities are massively limited.
Snow quality
The fresh snow lies on bare ground or on a hard frozen surface. This was quite nice to ride, but not enough and the base was very poor.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
The main danger comes from terrain traps!
Overall impression
A lonely day of touring in a white environment, at least visually. A few turns were made, but there was no serious skiing to be had. Until the next snowfall, the touring skis will be replaced by piste skis. The 2nd star goes to the quiet and relaxed morning.
