Snow condition

Rating refers to the altitude of approx. 1600 - 2500 m. Below 1800 m (*) it becomes aprubt less. From approx. 2200 m (** to ***) there is very good snow. From approx. 2500 m there is a lot of wind again and very variable. It is best here between 2600-1900m. Conclusion: you have to go a long way up for snow at the moment.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne

Below 2000 m, the snow is quite moist on the south side and lies on a hard base. Can become critical in very steep terrain. On the shaded side, the snow is powdery in many places if the wind has not worked it. In areas sheltered from the wind, the powder is very fine and very settled.

Risks

Many medium and large avalanches have broken loose from rocky terrain. All cones are covered in snow. The fresh snow lies on a hard crust up to approx. 2000m. On the shaded side > 2300 m there are unfavorable layers according to the LLB. Several slopes were skied here at well over 40°. All seem to be stable. Wind signs can be seen almost everywhere.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

The touring conditions in terms of weather are perfect. Unfortunately, there is no base below 2200m. In the high mountains you can already ski lines very safely. All in all, it is still very modest.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
