Ridges and backs completely blown off. Descent up to 700 meters possible with caution

Above 1700 meters it was very hard and icy. It was quite mild, but the clouds meant that it hadn't even firned up on the east side by 1 pm. Below that, up to 1200 meters, the snow cover was very modest.

Very stable conditions except for wet snow in the lower areas
