Snow condition
A lot to a lot at the top. Closed valley descent Wiler can be skied without hesitation. Descent to Ferden not possible due to avalanche conditions, but there is just under a meter to the road.
Snow quality
But you can ride on it. It's rarely really deep in the southern exposures here. In the morning it's powdery and often still chalky and soft above 2400 m. In the midday heat it suddenly changes and for two hours you're stuck almost all the way up. From 14h then slush surfing below 2600.
Risks
Wow, it's amazing how much it has rumbled over the last few days. A 2m avalanche edge is not uncommon. Spontaneous avalanches occurred on rock edges and under wind edges on all steep slopes. Today, these areas are almost inaccessible, as the avalanches have torn down to rock and bedrock. However, the sweaty south-facing slopes are also prone to wet slides in rocky terrain.
Overall impression
A nice day when you can make do with what you have left. Then there are slush ridge lines or something similar to firn... That used to be worth as much as coldsmoke is today?
