The influence of the sun over the last few days is clearly visible, the soil is showing through in many places.
Snow quality
There is still powder on the north side, in all other exposures the snow is very compact. In sunny areas, there is a melt crust in places that is not bearing. From midday onwards, the snow in sunny areas is melting heavily. The snow cover is very wet overall.
Risks
We have seen a few wet snow avalanches in the last few days. A few sliding snow avalanches came down from steep meadows on Sunday and Monday. The situation was much more relaxed today, but the LLB is still warning of drifting snow packs.
Overall impression
Today the temperatures were not quite as high as the last few days, but still well above 0 degrees at 2000m. It remains cold and powdery on the north side
