Skitour von Mittelberg ins Skigebiet
Snow condition

Snow condition
From the parking lot on skis. A few streams are still open and you should cross them on foot if possible, otherwise you will have to fight the rest of the ascent with cleats ;-)
Snow quality
I had actually started with the idea that the snow would hopefully be enough for the ascent and I would then take the cable car down, because everything would surely be sticky or with a fat crust, but that wasn't the case. The snow was a little heavy at the bottom, but overall it was a great descent. It's a good thing I decided against taking the Gletscherexpress down.
Risks
The diurnal warming must be taken into account, especially as the slopes above the "emergency path" are certainly not yet being blown up. Small loose snow avalanches had already occurred yesterday. Nothing has been prepared yet either.
Overall impression
A training ski tour, which was then rewarded with an enjoyable descent. There were a few streams to cross at the bottom, which are still open, but otherwise great powder, which was easy to ski even at the bottom.
I didn't actually want to write a CR, but because it was so good, I wanted to pass on the information. It's sure to be fun over the next few days, provided the snow groomers don't start messing everything up.
