Snow condition

Here (Zuoz), a little further north, there is significantly less snow than in the Corviglia region, for example. At 2000m you get about 50-70cm, there wasn't really any base before. You can ski well, but you should still be careful. The backs and ridges have significantly less snow in places.

Snow quality

Once again fantastic. the snow was a bit settled and you could tell that the wind had bound the snow a bit more in the open terrain about 10cm below the surface. It was great for riding, knee-deep and nice rebound. The snow was powdery right down to the bottom, although you could tell it was a bit warmer at the bottom (1600m approx. -1°, 14:30)

It feels (!) much tighter here than yesterday on Corvatsch. Some snow-covered drift snow packs in various exposures. Massive audible and perceptible booming noises indicate a problem in the thin layer of old snow further up. we stayed below 35 degrees. On the grassy slopes on the sunny side of the Engadine below approx. 2300m, there are isolated pockets of sliding snow and offsets, which is consistent with the LLB.

Overall impression

Very cool tour, even if it wasn't mega steep and big slopes, it was really fun!
