We can't speak of a base. The day before yesterday there was about 10 cm of snow on top of nothing - and today the wind has really blown it away.

I've now spent a few days on technically snow-covered slopes, but the last two days of skiing in Engelberg (today and 31.12.16) weren't even fun on piste skis. Ice galore... The 2cm that fell from 3pm: the finest blower - but it's not so much fun without a base.
Risks
Was negligible today - but will quickly tighten up with the fresh snow and strong winds and the old snow fields in the high mountains.
Overall impression
Well, if I hadn't had to, I would have been better off playing indoor halma. But it's nice to see that kids can have fun even in these conditions. Recommendations for Engelberg over the next few days: - freeride on the piste to show off the latest stuff - go 3-5m next to the piste and do a #faketurn for the Instagram community, as tomorrow is #bestdayever and there's #8m of snow and it's going to be #epic and #nippledeep anyway. #embracethestorm
