Krinnenspitze mit etwas besserem Schnee als befürchtet

Snow condition
Supplies would definitely be good. Next to the piste, there are already the first areas without snow at the bottom. In addition, the summit area of the Krinnenspitze is quite blown off, but that is often the case.
Snow quality
Between 2000 and 1600 meters we even got it quite well - very wet snow, but even and on a hard surface. With a bit of momentum and technique, it was quite easy to ski there. From 1600 to around 1300 meters, the wet snow was a real brake. Below that it was better again, it was similar to summer snow.
Risks
We dug an ECT and a slide block, the picture we got there fits well with the current description of the avalanche warning service: "low probability, high consequence". The ECT showed a partial fracture along the weak layer at a depth of 20 cm on the 17th hit. It could not be triggered over the 30 hits, but then easily levered away on the weak layer directly on the ground. The slide block broke on the skier's third jump along a weak layer at a depth of about 20 cm. On the east side of the Neunerköpfl many sliding snow chutes.
Overall impression
Snow on the summit slope was at least quite nice to ski :-) However, there was virtually no sign of the promised sun today.
