Bad. Despite the high starting point, you have to carry relatively far. There is only real snow from about 2400m, in gullies and avalanche tracks it goes further down, and it feels a bit better north of the main ridge.

It froze really well today, from top to bottom. Due to the dry air, however, it didn't really want to firn up high... 1st descent was around 9:30 a.m., the 2nd about 1 hour later, but in the sun and further down it was really nice firn and for the first time in a while there was no swamp at the bottom.

Risks

Low, if you keep an eye on the diurnal cycle, exposure and temperature. A lot has already gone and the snow cover was very compact and hard for a long time today.

Beautiful day, even if the approaching end always makes me sad... Nice snow, new skis are great and a Mankei stopped by at the first summit...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
