Snow condition
Thick layer of snow in all expos down to 1400m. No ground contact possible. Only the back and ridges are blown off.
Snow quality
Had hoped for a blow-in in the north / east. Unfortunately, the wind has compressed everything there too. Slab powder on top, melting harsh under 2000 and the influence of rain. Depending on the expo, it became soft in the sun.
Risks
Only old snowboards seen in various expos. Mighty cornices hanging over north/east. Beware of pressed packs on steep north/east facing slopes.
Overall impression
Unfortunately, the snow was much worse and more compacted than expected, but still skiable. Thanks to the snow conditions and amazing views, it was still a great day.
