Snow condition
Compared to other winters, the season has got off to a great start anyway. Therefore, two stars for general satisfaction, but it's just fine from Rinken, here you can get back to the car without losing any material. Whether this will still be the case after Christmas is unclear. But it will still be doable tomorrow in the sun.
Snow quality
3 stars for the upper 50-100 hm. The entrances to the steep Zastlerrinnen were really good. 5-15 cm of soft snow, something like powder, on a firm and very grippy base. It was really fun. Then with the inversion on Sunday around 11 am it quickly got very wet.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: low
Altitude: 1200 m – 1400 m
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Some drift snow on the ridges. The picture with the floes is at the exit of the ladies' descent. There is some snow in the gullies, but it's more sluff. Below it is very compact and not much more. You have to keep an eye out for stones, molehills and bushes. And there are animals.
Overall impression
Hello there? Sunday morning, bright sunshine, continuous snow cover from the Rinken, fun snow on the northern slopes, ridge lines ... and we're all alone. Now you get the picture.
