Snow condition

Solid snow conditions in the Stubai Valley. With a slightly higher starting point, the relatively low snow depth at lower altitudes can also be avoided. Above 1600m it looks good, from 2000m upwards even better. Even rough, stony terrain is quite easy to ski. Nevertheless, tend to stay in hollows, the loose fresh snow has also covered stones on ridges that were not previously snowed in.

Snow quality

Still completely loose, unbound fresh snow on the north side. There was a very light wind cover in a few places, but you didn't feel it on the descent.

Unbound fresh snow on compact old snow cover. However, with rising temperatures and increasing wind, the drifting snow problem will soon increase.

Overall impression

Trotz müder Beine noch mal 1500hm absolviert, um die guten und sicheren Bedingungen zu nutzen. Alles andere wäre auch Bedingungsverschwendung gewesen :-) Leider vermutlich vorerst der letzte Tag mit gutem Schnee und stabilen Lawinenverhältnissen...
