Altitude

Avalanche warning level

Exposition
Snow condition
The pines on the Nordkette are also completely open and exposed south-facing slopes had snow-free areas up to 2000m. Generally no base south-facing below 1400m
Snow quality
Good powder up to around 1600m, then slowly gets harder. This means that even meadow slopes without a base can be skied reasonably well beforehand. Wind influence visible near the ridge and further up
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Snow quite well bound everywhere, south side probably a little safer than north side because much better old snow cover. A few avalanches were blown up in the cirque
Overall impression
With the sun and warmth, the powder will unfortunately not last long on the south side. Classic chain once again not open, only pedestrians are transported by gondola. Downhill options very limited due to the poor snow conditions. Skiable with Steinboard up to 1200m today. Then alternate between tobogganing and walking
