Snow condition
Unfortunately, there is still not much snow, but the snow that is there has settled well and covers terrain traps below the tree line. No homogeneous snow cover above the tree line.
Snow quality
No homogeneous snow cover above the tree line, either completely blown off, wind cover or soft drift snow. In the forest and without wind, settled powder, cardboardy below 1500.
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: strong
Altitude: 1800 m – 2200 m
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
It is definitely still very tricky above the tree line. The drift snow deposits are thick in places and virtually every steep step, hollow or ditch is filled. Defensive track selection is advised.
Overall impression
So-so. Beautiful winter atmosphere in the forest thanks to the fresh snow. Unfortunately, the storm left its mark and the snow was too wet at the bottom. There were a few nice turns between the tree line and 1500.
