Snow condition
There is little snow, but it is enough for most standard tours. Sections below ~2200 with strong sunshine have some carry sections or are not possible/rewarding. I therefore had to abandon my plan. Unfortunately there was no alternative summit due to lack of time. Instead, a bit of ratio inspection of some steeper sections.
Snow quality
There is powder on the northern slopes far above...or so I was told. As noted above, I myself had to break off before I could find any. Sunny slopes froze overnight and thawed despite initially hazy conditions. I took a nice firn slope with me despite the lack of time. There's sure to be something good further up. The west gullies I looked at were mostly washed out and didn't look appealing - but they should all be possible. However, this is only interesting for those who prioritize a beautiful line over good snow.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
As I wasn't very high up, I can't say much about the high-altitude wind. Overall, it's a foehn wind, but in Sellrain you're quite well protected from it, so I can't say anything about it. There was no wind at the bottom.
Overall impression
The tendency towards "better" is due to the optimism that it will snow and not rain at altitude over the next few days. My hoped-for gully project has fallen victim to the snowfall and my reluctance to crawl around alone in a rocky stream bed. If you take the time to plan your tour skilfully, you are sure to find one or two good spots. Overall, however, it is sadly thin for the time of year.
