Snow condition
probably the best so far this winter, somehow the location of potential sharks has already burned itself into my brain, only descent 2 once lured me too far to the rock to avoid the hardness in the center of the gully in the powdery edge area, whereby a stone completely slowed down the ski. It now has a long, deep slot in the middle, which could easily accommodate half a repair candle. But it's my own fault, I could have guessed...
Snow quality
Powder clearly predominated, even around 15:00 in a shaded northern exposure for the whole day. The sun trickled down a few nodules on the sunny slopes in the afternoon, but there were no slides. The day also showed that it is now time to wax the skins. As an unprepared late starter, you have to carry a few extra kilos or try to get rid of the stuff in every hairpin bend.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Well-known terrain with a lot of traffic, only the accumulations under cornices or at entrances sometimes look conspicuous. In the afternoon, however, the stick only penetrated a few centimetres deep, gully 2 was partly cleared of fresh snow.
Overall impression
Rarely can you push down the gullies like this (if you want to call it pushing), for me the best runs of the season so far, whereby gully 1 gets a golden crown for carpet and backdrop (Anraum) today (i.e. 5 stars). At lower altitudes, there's a lot of snow in the sun, but that won't be a problem for much longer, as the carpets there are just patches and will soon disappear ;-)
