From and to the parking lot in Schattwald without any problems. There are a few sharks lurking in the summit gully, but they are usually easy to see. I took one with me anyway... The eastern gully on the ascent is already starting to snow out. Less so on the south side. You can still ski a lot, but nothing more.

Snow quality

In the ascent up to far up a highway, hard snow. Crossings, especially with splitboard somewhat unpleasant. On the sunny side very wet snow, purely on the north side still powder on a hard base, from about 1400 m a few cm, on 2000 about up to 15 cm. With the other expos it depends on the inclination, the steeper the more likely a cover. Where there is no cover, it's good skiing, especially with only a few cm of creamy surface.

Risks

One was issued, I didn't see anything conspicuous either. Something must have fallen in the summit gully some time ago. The steep, east-facing and therefore strongly sunlit ascent gully was also safe. There was some sluff in the summit gully due to the steepness.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Sunshine with a view of the sea of fog and a gully that I've wanted to ski for a long time, with reasonable snow. As I hadn't been on the trail often, it was my highlight of the season Subjectively 4 stars, objectively 3
