Snow condition
In the Montafon there is freedom from fools. You can set off from the valley. There is plenty of snow in the mountains above, some of which has been cleared by the masses. Some sections should not be used because of avalanches. Basically, however, you can choose a line quite freely and the bushes are disappearing more and more.
Snow quality
Still deep and light. Even on the south-facing slopes, the snow was very good at +1800m. From midday onwards you could slowly notice the sun. But it's all complaining on a high level. 50cm and more of the finest powder on the north-facing slopes. With the QST 106, you can get lost in 35 degree terrain. It's great fun. Even with a pulled strap in the knee, it's nice to ride.
Risks
I don't trust the roast yet. I would sign the threesome. You can't see any acute warning signs. Next to the slope there was a slide in 2 places. The massive subsidence and cracks are a thing of the past, but it doesn't feel quite right. The quantities and masses were too much. The underlays were too fragile. You can have fun, but with a clear limit, and from midday you can see wind vanes of considerable size at the summit.
Overall impression
Super morning. Unfortunately, the lifts close far too early and it's not very busy. That's a shame but understandable. Not an issue with 10-15 people in the area.
There's still a lot to do inbound until everything is dismantled on the Hochjoch. These are conditions like 2005.
