Snow condition

The snow conditions are sufficient from 1000 m in shaded slopes and grow quickly. Above 1400 m you can also ski in dense forest. Up to the tree line it is very even, then it seems more variable. Above that, wind signs are clearly visible.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

From 1000 m to 1500 m heavy powder and above that very fluffy. It is very fine in forest aisles. It snowed all day, sometimes heavier, sometimes weaker.

Risks

Areas below 40° are easy to ski in the forest. The fresh snow today fell without the influence of wind. Further up (>1800m) there is drift snow and gliding snow from low altitudes up to about 2400 m. I could only see fish mouths below the tree line.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

A lonely day in snow-covered forests. Making tracks was exhausting. This was forgotten again on the powder descent. The snow base seems to be just right this winter. Many tour options are finally possible again.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
