Snow condition
Generally good snow conditions. Almost everything is skiable off-piste. Some of the ridges have been blown away. The downhill route to the Horbergbahn valley station looked like there was not much snow at the bottom, but it seems to be doable.
Snow quality
Very fluffy powder snow in the morning (approx. 30-40cm new from the previous days), in sunny exposures it naturally got heavier as the day progressed. Due to the fact that it was cloudier in the morning than forecast, the good snow lasted until midday, even in the Wanglspitz face. From midday onwards, you had to head north for good snow. On our last descent at 3 pm, the snow was still powdery on the north side all the way down to Mösl.
Risks
In the coming days, you should definitely watch out for sliding snow avalanches. Some cracks could be seen, some of which were lightly covered with snow. Due to the warming, wet loose snow slides are also to be expected and drifting snow will probably only be a problem on the north side at higher altitudes. The fresh snow, which probably didn't fall with too much wind, has already settled well over the course of the day.
Overall impression
A really good powder day in Mayrhofen. The area has varied terrain to offer. In combination with good snow, there was one beautiful line after another to be had. After the snow in our favorite face got heavier as the day progressed, we added a short hike up the Pangert. We were rewarded with a long north-facing descent in still good powder snow.
The ski area itself was not completely empty and we had to queue a little longer in the morning for the 150 Tux gondola.
