Only slightly sugared in the valley at 1000 mh. You have to ski down the valley on the piste. From approx. 1600 mh, however, there is a continuous snow cover. As the altitude increases, so does the amount of fresh snow: this varies between 5-15 cm. Tree stumps are already quite well covered in snow in open slopes and despite the generally poor snow conditions in the northern Alps, there is quite a good base due to the northern exposure.

It is also snowing in the valley, albeit a little damp. From 1500 m the snow is already acceptable. It's not cold powder, but it's easy to ride and there's also dust. Only a little, but this winter we are frugal....

Risks

According to LLB 3, this may also be the case above the tree line. However, the snowfall has started at very high temperatures, which should create a fairly good connection between the upper layer and the lower layer. Shifting snow packs could be critical, which have formed in the stormy foehn of the last few days at high altitudes, have now been snowed in and are therefore difficult to recognize.

Good to be outside. The 10cm of snow was also a bit of fun, but good freeriding looks different. Simply still too little snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
