From the start at the Belchen gondola, there is a good base that improves steadily up to the summit. Even at the summit, which is otherwise often blown off, there is a good compact layer.
Snow quality
Surprisingly fluffy. We drove down the north side. It's been nice and cold here in the last few days and no cover has formed.
Risks
Over the last few days, there has been fresh snow in homeopathic quantities, which I don't consider critical despite the darkness.
Overall impression
The plan was actually to ski down the piste, but thanks to the good conditions, more was possible. Visibility was semi-optimal due to the fog. Nevertheless, it was a nice after-work tour that whetted our appetite for more tours in the Black Forest.
