Snow condition
Descent to approx. 900m on a thin layer of snow, soon followed by a short carrying passage. From 1,200m the ascent track was blown and snow-covered, then 15cm of fresh snow from yesterday. Stones are out deeper than 1,200m. Grrrrr.
Snow quality
Below 1,200m icy old snow, not firned on my early descent. Good, settled powder above. Old tracks not noticeable at the top.
Risks
2s. Corresponds with my observations, the tour was largely downwind, so hardly any snow packs were visible.
Overall impression
Better than expected when we left. The large east cirque was still untracked and easy to ski. Deeper then training snow.
