Just like last weekend, the base is good from about 1600 meters upwards, then it gets bad again towards the valley. There is a lot of drifting in places and, of course, bare patches.

There is everything from ice, hard snow, heavy snow to passable pow. It depends on the slope and the altitude. Below 1000 meters it is mostly very wet and bombed. Above that there is a mixture of, as already mentioned, hard snow, ice and powder.

Risks

That's quite a save if you don't go straight into a fully loaded north-facing slope with a significant incline. We also observed that in steeper gullies on the sides, there were some air bubbles between the snow and the grass cover due to the warm/cold conditions.

If you consider the last skiable powder routes, it was a pretty decent day, which was of course below average for this time of year.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
