Extremely much snow on the Nordkette at the moment. Mountain pines in the upper area heavily snowed in, downhill run to Hungerburg possible without any problems.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Beautiful fine, cold powder snow in the mountain pines. Hardly influenced by the wind and still fine to ski in the late afternoon. According to the measuring station, the snow depth has increased by 80cm. Anyone who has been on the Seegrube in the last few days can confirm this.

Risks

Not without reason a foursome from the LWD. The main problem was snow-covered surface rime and drifting snow, although it seemed to us that the load on the Nordkette (at least below the Seegrube) was not so heavy. The lift only opened at 11am on Wednesday and Thursday after extensive blasting.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Two more than successful days on the Nordkette. Contrary to our fears, there were hardly any other freeriders out and there was almost a family feeling. A little more/better fresh snow on Wednesday, but outstanding visibility on Thursday. More of this please!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
