the old lyre. still too little snow, the foehn has raged, ridge, ridges all blown off and now there are a few centimeters of fresh snow on top.
Snow quality
very nice fluffy powder, a bit wind-treated in some corners, but easy to ride. from about noon the snow got a bit heavier on the south/west expos. in total about 10-15cm, in some places about 20-25cm.
Risks
relatively relaxed, but still not to be underestimated. the llb issued a 2, in the high altitudes of the tauern/alps main ridge a 3. i couldn't observe any departures. current drift snow is easy to recognize, old drift snow packs more difficult because they are covered with snow.
Overall impression
super! sun, powder, hardly any people who wanted to follow you (only 3 in total!). what more could you want at the moment?
