Overall impression
Snow condition
The snow conditions are good. We were exclusively above 2000m, so there is enough snow in all exposures. The glaciers are well covered in snow. Above 2200m you can give it 4 stars.
Snow quality
We weren't lucky with the snow quality due to the foehn and some bad weather. On Sunday there was still one descent in beautiful firn, but from Monday onwards the surface was mostly hard, sometimes unpleasant to ski due to frozen tracks or Zastrugis.
Risks
Quite stable, at the altitude at which we were mainly traveling (>2400m), there was hardly any diurnal variation. We didn't observe any activity during the five days. At lower altitudes, a lot is already down, but by no means everything, and with the new snow that has been announced, the situation will have to be reassessed.
Overall impression
A great tour in a wonderful setting.
Thanks to a great group and beautiful summit destinations, it felt like 4 stars. Since the weather and snow quality left something to be desired, the reality check leaves 3.
