Snow condition
So, now there's 5! The snow walls next to the road and the pillows on the roofs of the houses are huge. You'll look in vain for stones (except on blown-off ridges) and some gullies or hollows are no longer there at all.
Snow quality
Thank God it didn't rain yesterday in Obertauern, but it was still quite warm right from the start (+1 degree at the parking lot at 09:30). The snow was correspondingly wet, at least at the bottom, but still cool to ski. At the top it was a bit blown in, but not too bad. There was still a lot of dust in the shade! On the south side it was really spring-like in the afternoon! I can hardly judge how much fresh snow there was in total. In any case, I was able to sink my 125 mm pole into the snow up to the handle in several places at different heights without any problems ;-)
Risks
Still tense! There were no spontaneous releases! The drifts are quite recognizable and watch out for wet snow on the south side. The blasting in the area has caused some large boards to come off.
Overall impression
Cool day in the sunshine, I'd love more of it (but then in colder temperatures ;-) )
